Can You Ship Sharp Goods or Wire Products?
Sharp goods and wire products such as barbed wire must be securely packaged to prevent injury or damage. Poorly packed sharp items are dangerous and will be refused for collection.
How to prepare sharp goods
- Use strong protective packaging to cover sharp edges and points
- Suitable protection includes solid crates, cardboard guards, plastic sheeting or heavy-duty banding
- Sharp goods must not be left exposed under shrink wrap alone - they must be fully contained
- All items must fit fully within the pallet edges with no overhang
Your responsibility
You are responsible for making sure your goods cannot cause injury to drivers, depot staff or other freight during transit. If your pallet is unsafe, it will be rejected at collection or at the depot.
