Shipping bagged goods

Ensure bags are securely stacked and wrapped on pallets to prevent shifting or damage.

Bagged goods must be secured to the pallet correctly to prevent damage or spillage in transit. Loose or unstable bags will not be accepted for collection.

How to prepare bagged freight

  • Fully shrink wrap your goods from the base of the pallet to the top to stop them shifting during transport
  • Use a solid base cover, such as cardboard or plastic sheeting, to prevent bags falling through gaps in the pallet
  • Apply “Do Not Stack” tape, warning labels or a pallet cone if your goods cannot be stacked safely
  • Bags must not overhang the pallet or be loose on top of the load

Your responsibility

The pallet network does not provide additional protection for loose or poorly wrapped bags. Your pallet must be stable, secure and fit for transport before the driver arrives. Non-compliant pallets will be refused.
