03

We collect

A local Palletline member collects. Tracking starts once the unit is scanned at the depot.

How this needs to travel.

Every pallet network has packing rules so the load can actually move. Palletline asks for a crate, stillage or purpose-designed frame so a used engine or gearbox can be forklifted without leaking or shifting onto other freight.

01

Drain it fully

All oil, fuel and coolant. Fluid that escapes can damage other pallets and the vehicle.

02

A crate or stillage

So the unit sits still and can be lifted with a forklift. Rope, tape or wrap is not enough to hold an engine or gearbox.

03

Catch any residue

Absorbent material, a drip tray, or both, inside the crate. A weep that starts after collection still has to be caught.

04

Clear wrap

So the collector can see it is dry and secured. Black wrap hides leaks and can stop the collection.

A local Palletline member collects, not a PalletOnline van. If it is leaking, sat on a pallet alone, or wrapped in black film, collection can be refused and cover does not apply. The driver cannot waive this. Full packing guide
