What Handling Warnings Can I Use?
If your goods are fragile or must not be stacked, you must clearly label the pallet so it can be handled safely. The pallet network does not guarantee your pallet will not be stacked unless this is clearly marked.
How to label fragile or non stackable pallets
- Use “Do Not Stack” cones placed securely on top of the pallet. These are available from packaging suppliers and online stores such as Amazon
- Apply “Do Not Stack” tape or warning labels on all visible sides of the pallet
- Make sure labels are clear and visible from every angle. Do not cover them with shrink wrap
Shipping liquid goods
- All liquids must be inside sealed, leak proof containers
- Use orientation arrows to show the correct way up
- Secure containers properly with shrink wrap or other packaging to stop them moving or leaking
Your responsibility
If your goods are not labelled correctly and are damaged or cause damage to other freight, your claim may be rejected. It is your responsibility to make sure your pallet is marked clearly before collection.
