Are You Using the Correct Pallet?

Your goods must be placed on a strong, undamaged pallet base. If your pallet breaks during handling or shows signs of damage before collection, your delivery may be refused and any future claim could be rejected.

Pallet base requirements

  • Pallets must be made from strong wood, plastic or metal
  • Pallets must have at least two-way entry for forklifts and pallet trucks
  • Only use pallets that are complete, flat and free from damage - no missing boards, broken blocks or exposed nails
  • Do not reuse weak, rotted or previously damaged pallets

Your responsibility

The condition of the pallet base is your responsibility. If your pallet collapses during transit due to poor condition, your claim may be rejected. Always check your pallet before loading your goods and replace it if in doubt.
