Meet the Team - Tom

Now it is time to introduce our marketing team. 

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Tom, our Marketing Manager here at PalletOnline.

Tom is responsible for keeping everything looking sharp and running smoothly, from our social media and graphics to making sure the website is always in top shape. He also makes sure everything we put out is consistent, on-brand, and reflects who we are as a business.

If you’ve ever visited our website or seen one of our posts, chances are Tom’s had a hand in it.

Let’s get to know him a little better…

Tell me a bit about yourself and what you do at PalletOnline.

I’m the marketing manager at PalletOnline, and our parent company, Browns Distribution. I manage everything from social media, graphic design, and website upkeep, to internal communications and branding, making sure our look and voice is always on point, and ultimately helping to support the commercial team in retaining and winning business.

What is it you like to do outside of work? 

My biggest hobby is football, and following my team, Sunderland AFC, all across the country! As of Jan 2026, I’ve been to 60 grounds out of the current 92. I also love being in the gym, running, and playing badminton.

What was your first job?

My first job was working as a store assistant in my Uncle’s convenience store. Just a few hours a week when I’d finished school. My first ‘proper’ job was part-time at McDonald’s whilst I was at college. Even after all these years, I think if you dropped me back into the kitchen, I’d put a great shift in. 

Careful Tom… we might test you on that.

Do you have any pets?

I have a dog named Hugo. He’s a 4 year-old Cockalier (Working Cocker Spaniel x King Charles Cavalier) and he’s a real cheeky chappy! His energy tells me he’s more cocker than cavalier, though!

What TV show are you currently loving now?

I’m currently going through a Taylor Sheridan phase, I love anything he’s directed! I’ve watched Yellowstone, 1883, and 1923, and I am currently watching Landman. Country music has also sneaked into my Spotify Wrapped this year. Yeehaw.

What is a food you couldn’t live without?

Pizza! I could eat pizza every day: breakfast, dinner and tea. But I would probably say Indian is my favourite cuisine. The hotter, the better!

What is your go to hot drink order?

I’ll go for a flat white, please. Maybe with an extra shot of espresso. I like my coffee strong!

This is when his day actually starts! 

Where is your dream holiday destination?

I’d love to go to Australia. But I feel as though it couldn’t be somewhere I went for a week. I’d need to do at least a month!

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Since I love going to the pub, I’ll list 3 pub peeves. 1. A pub with no beer mats. 2. Queuing at the bar. 3. Getting served a pint in the wrong glass. All sacrilege!

If you could work with any fictional character, who would it be?

I’d work with Tony Stark (Iron Man). How cool would that be?

Hmm... I don't know about that one, maybe Spider-man would be cooler.
