Meet the Team - Charlotte
Today we are meeting our newest addition to the PalletOnline team.
Let's meet Charlotte, the person behind the content for PalletOnline. Writing blogs, drafting social media posts, and creating content, it's all down to Charlotte.
Hi Charlotte, can you tell me a bit about yourself and what you do at PalletOnline?
Hi, I'm Charlotte and I am the new content marketing executive here at PalletOnline and parent company Browns Distribution. I am responsible for any blog posts and social posts for both PalletOnline and Browns. I have recently completed my master’s degree in digital marketing in autumn 2025, so this is my first marketing job since leaving university.
What is it you like to do outside of work?
I’ve recently started playing badminton again after stopping when I left school, and it’s great to be back. I’ve also returned to dance after doing it from age 2 to 18, so putting my tap shoes on again has been great even if my muscles don't thank me after a ballet and stretch class. I enjoy reading on my Kindle and crafting is a big part of my life too, I go to weekly craft socials and recently crocheted an Easter themed blanket. I’ve just started a new crochet project that will last the whole year!
What was your first job?
My first 'proper' job was a retail assistant at Next which I was at for over 6 years, from the time I left high school to the time I finished my master’s degree. But before I worked at Next, I did a paper and magazine round, delivering to over 1,000 houses on my estate.
Well we all have to start somewhere.
Where is your dream holiday destination?
I love travelling, so there are many dream holiday destinations, but I think the biggest might be to travel around Australia and see the Sydney Opera House, koalas and Great Barrier Reef. I also want to travel across Canada, going east to west and through the Rocky Mountains, I was supposed to do this in 2020, but Covid got in the way of those plans. The ultimate goal would be to visit all continents, and I only have Oceania and South America to go!
So what I am hearing is... you just want to travel the world.
Do you have any pets?
I have two cats called Casper and Alfie. We rescued Casper from Iris Cats in Need and then Alfie was a stray we took in after he made himself comfortable at home and we all fell in love with him as well. I'm trying to convince my dad to let me get a Scottish Fold, but that is currently very unsuccessful.
What is a TV show you are currently loving?
I do love some good reality TV like The Traitors and Dance Moms. I also love The Apprentice and block Thursday nights off solely to watch that when it starts airing again. But a TV show I will always love is Gossip Girl, no matter how many times I watch it.
What would be a meal you could eat every day of the week?
I think it would have to be burritos; I just love chicken and how easy it is to make burritos. But I am also a massive fan of pasta and enjoy a good carbonara.
Great choice, or should I say choices? But let's be honest, who doesn't love chicken and pasta, it's hard to pick between them.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
It easily must be slow walkers, especially when you can’t get around so you are stuck behind them. Or when people are walking and just randomly stop in the way of everyone and you almost bump into them.
So what we are hearing is... don't walk in front of Charlotte.
What is your current obsession?
I think my current obsession has to be reading, I have set myself a goal of 24 books this year, as well as reading everyday, so my Kindle is yet to leave my side this year. But it's only the start of April and I have already read 16 books so far this year, so that goal is definitely being met!
If you could work with any fictional character, who would it be?
I think it would have to be Donkey from Shrek; I just think it would be non-stop laughter from him all day.
I think Shrek and Donkey go hand-in-hand, would you take the ogre as well.
There we go with another Meet the Team. If you would like to meet more of us then make sure to check out our other blogs and get to know the whole PalletOnline team.
