What Size Vehicle Do You Collect In?

Our standard collection vehicle is an 18-tonne rigid truck. This is similar in size to a council bin lorry or a supermarket delivery truck. If your collection point is not suitable for a vehicle of this size, we need to know in advance.

Think of it like ordering a large delivery van to your home. If your street has tight corners, limited parking, or weight restrictions, the driver won’t be able to reach you - and the van still costs the same, even if it leaves empty. The same applies to pallet collections: if our vehicle cannot access your location and we weren’t told about it, your collection may fail and a recollection fee could apply.

Help Us Help You

  • At checkout, please tell us about any site access codes, specific directions, or parking restrictions.
  • Warn us about anything that could block access, such as narrow roads, low bridges, heavy parking, size restrictions, or planned roadworks.
  • If needed, we can arrange a smaller 7.5-tonne truck (roughly the size of a large moving van). These are in short supply and may delay your collection by one working day.

What Happens If We Aren’t Told?

If our driver arrives and cannot safely access your site, we may need to charge for a failed collection. This is because we already secured the vehicle and drive, and they were unable to complete the job.

Please help us make your collection go smoothly by letting us know about any access issues up front. It saves time, reduces costs, and avoids frustration for everyone.
