2022: A Year in Review

Wow, what a year 2022 has been!

We've been working hard over the past year to bring you a more reliable and streamlined service. From new pallet sizes to worldwide shipments, we've compiled a list of all the main releases of 2022.

So, without further ado, let's dive in!

Arguably one of the biggest launches last year was our international service, which gives you the option to book a collection or delivery from a total of 32 destinations, including most of Europe, the USA and China!

With industry-best support, an 8-step tracking system and outstanding reliability, it's no surprise that our international shipping services have been a huge hit.

In addition to our international service, we also have a dedicated in-house expert who will handle all your import and export documents for you.

Many of our customers wanted an option to ship light goods without having to pay the price of a quarter pallet space.

Last year, we introduced just that, and we introduced our "micro pallet" option, which is perfect for those who want to ship goods lighter than 150 kilograms and shorter than 60 centimetres. 

It's safe to say our new pallet size is now one of our most popular options, with many of our customers saving precious pennies!

Early in 2022, we identified that some of our customers needed a better and more transparent way of managing user accounts.

To provide a better experience for our customers, we implemented a feature which let users create and link multiple accounts, known as "sub accounts".

These accounts can be fully controlled and personalised by an administrator, who has the ability to customise permissions of the sub accounts they own.

This new feature has been hugely popular, especially with those who have multiple people within the same company that book frequent deliveries.

Anyone can set up an unlimited number of sub accounts from their user dashboard.

We're very proud to be a shareholder member of the UK's only Amazon-approved pallet network for deliveries into their fulfilment centres. 

As a result, our Amazon service has become extremely popular among the FBA community, and it's not hard to see why! 

We can deliver to 45 fulfilment centres all around the UK, so we created a bespoke Amazon FC status page containing a list of every centre and its current status, as well as any service incidents.

Back in March, we announced that our upgraded insurance will be included as standard for every booking, and so far, it's been a very welcome addition! 

You can now insure your domestic shipments for up to £5 per kilogram, completely free of charge, and is part of our promise to provide you with the highest level of service possible. Our insurance covers a wide range of potential risks, including damage and loss.

On top of that, our dedicated insurance handler is always here to help ensure your claim has the best chance of being accepted.

2022 saw the launch of our new Truckloads service, which allows bookings of more than 10 pallets, and it's been a booming success!

This service is perfect if you're shipping large volumes, as you're paying for the whole trailer rather than individual pallet spaces.

We also launched fully automatic pricing for your Truckload quotes, allowing you to get a no-obligation quote in a matter of seconds.

This year, we're gearing up for one of the biggest moves in the history of PalletOnline, as we move into our brand new, purpose-built office space alongside our parent company. 

Our new offices will boast modern IT systems, state-of-the-art training facilities and more space for new staff to help you with your pallet delivery needs. 

The new site is undergoing its final touches and we expect to relocate in February. We can't wait to bring you along!
