Meet the Team - Karlie

After a small hiatus, we're thrilled to announce that Meet the Team is well and truly back!

To kick-start the return, we'll be introducing you to one of our fantastic Customer Care Advisors, Karlie.

So, without further ado, let's get started!

Hey Karlie! Could you tell us a bit about yourself and what you like to get up to outside of work?

Hi, I’m Karlie and I recently joined the PalletOnline Customer Care team as a result of a career change from the dental industry. I have recently had my second child and felt it was time for something new. I've spent the last two months learning all about logistics and getting to know the business and I have enjoyed every minute of it.

When I’m not at work, I’m in family mode, playing games, doing crafts and generally being a mum to my four-year-old and six-month-old. 

What does your role involve?

I work in the PalletOnline customer care team where I assist our customers with their queries via telephone and live chat and deal with all our 96 depots to ensure everything goes as planned.

If you could trade lives with someone, who would it be?

I think I would trade lives with my cat so that I could see what she gets up to when she goes out and sleep whenever I want.

If you were to play a song you love right now, what would it be?

I love The 1975, so anything by them.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? 

I really wanted to own a fancy dress shop!

I often go to fancy dress parties dressed as a shark, but the novelty is wearing a little fin...
What is your favourite type of cuisine?

Probably Italian; I could happily live off pizza, pasta, coffee and gelato.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Disneyland, so that I’d never be bored and I’d have lots of food options. The commute would be a bit difficult though.

Do you have any pets? 

Yes, I have 2 rabbits called Betty and Sharon and a cat called Mildred Hubble.

What awesome names!
If you were the ruler of your own country, what would be the first law you’d put into place? 

I would make it illegal to bully people and make kindness and manners compulsory.

What film can you watch over and over without ever getting tired of?

Any one of the Harry Potter films. I am a massive Harry Potter fan and will happily watch them on repeat.

Mildred Hubble and Mrs Norris... I think that would be a magical duo!
If animals could talk, which animal would be the most annoying?

Probably wasps, they’re always up in everyone’s business and being aggressive for no reason.

Out of the four seasons, what’s your favourite one?

This is too hard I can’t decide! I love Summer for the lighter nights and sun, and I like Autumn because I love Halloween, but I also love winter because of the snow and Christmas.
