How do I get a pallet delivery?
A freight delivery company is the best solution to shipping palletised freight far and wide. You can easily avoid spending extortionate amounts on other services that may prove to be a waste of money and time.
You can send a pallet to any region of the UK and Europe with us. Our online quote generator is fast and simple, and you can receive a quote instantly upon request.
We are confident that we offer the best value for money when shipping palletised freight.
Booking your delivery through our website is easy to do and takes no more than just a few minutes.
How Do You Choose The Right Pallet Size?
When deciding which pallet size is appropriate for your freight, you must first consider the dimensions of your items when stacked and check our pallet size guide for further reference.
Make sure you allow enough space so as to avoid overhanging on any of the edges of your pallet; if your freight does overhang the pallet, we may refuse to handle your goods.
Overhanging can increase the risk of damage to goods during transit, so we always recommend leaving enough space on your pallet to comfortably hold your items.
Your pallet should essentially protect your goods from any damage during transit. For that reason, selecting the right pallet size is a crucial step towards delivering freight safely to its destination.
Before you send a pallet through our network, please ensure your pallet is of the correct measurements of a standard UK size. Your pallet must measure a length of 1.2 metres by a width of 1 metre to be accepted through our delivery network for shipment.
Can You Send An Oversized Pallet?
We are experts at handling and shipping oversized pallets. You can send full pallets, quarter pallets, half pallets and even an oversized pallet through our network.
Our pallet shipping services makes it easier for you to ship palletised goods to your chosen destination as quickly and efficiently as possible.
To book delivery of an oversized pallet, make sure you select an additional full pallet space in the checkout. This will ensure there is plenty of room on our delivery vehicle for your oversized pallet and will help give our drivers as much notice in advance of your heavy goods.
If your goods weigh more than 1,000 kilograms, please also ensure that you have the correct and appropriate equipment available on delivery day. Doing this will help make sure the delivery goes as smoothly as planned.
Are Pallets Wrapped Before Delivery?
To offer better protection for your goods, we always advise wrapping them before delivery. Failing to wrap your pallet before delivery could result in your goods becoming damaged and can even increase the risk of stolen goods.
If you are not certain as to how to wrap your pallet prior to delivery, we can do this for you. Our Pallet and Wrap service will ensure your goods are secured to a pallet and shrink wrapped before they are shipped out to their destination.
You can add our Pallet and Wrap service to your basket in the checkout for a small additional fee. Rest assured that we are experts in wrapping and handling pallets of all sizes.
For us to be able to secure your freight to a pallet and shrink wrap it, we would require 24 hours' notice. This will allow us to calculate how much shrink wrap we need to completely cover your pallet for delivery.
We do not currently offer our Pallet and Wrap service with same day collection and next day delivery as this would leave us with less than 24 hours' notice.
How Much Does It Cost To Send A Pallet?
The cost of sending palletised freight is calculated based on weight, size of pallet and distance our drivers travel to distribute your goods. You can get a free instant pallet quote on our website whenever you want to send a pallet with us.
Go to our homepage and enter the postcode of the collection and delivery location. You must make sure you select the correct country for both locations.
Then select how many pallets you wish to send and of what size. As soon as you confirm the details, your quote will be automatically generated and other optional services will appear before the checkout.
If you require any additional services, please make sure you add them to the basket and attach any relevant booking notes before confirming your order.
Where Can You Buy A Pallet?
If you do not already have a pallet, you can buy one from local stores such as B&Q and other reputable DIY stores. You can also look online for pallets on website like Amazon and such.
We always recommend buying 4-way pallets as these allow access on each side, making it easier to move them around the warehouse and onto the delivery vehicles.
You must also make sure you buy a pallet that is 1.2 metres by 1 metre as this is the standard UK pallet size. We do not accept pallets with dimensions that exceed the standard UK pallet measurements.
If you struggle to find a pallet for your freight delivery, then feel free to get in touch and we will be happy to advise. Our friendly customer care team is always at hand to help with any queries or concerns you may have.
